Food is a gift we give to ourselves or to others to nourish and strengthen our bodies. Food should build vitality, and it should be enjoyed. For these reasons, our food is made with the intention to inspire gratitude.
Joshua Solis and Keyra Correa are the founders of Soul Vegan Cuisine. Josh has been vegan for 10 years, and Keyra has been vegan for 5 years. Together, they have explored the cultural and social impact of plant based cuisine. Soul Vegan Cuisine is their soul child.

Throughout their time together as a couple, Josh and Keyra have found that preparing food is one of the greatest acts of service people provide for each other on a daily basis.

Josh and Keyra love to prepare nutrient-dense food for good company and facilitate memorable experiences. Josh is the Chef, and Keyra is the assistant who takes care of every detail to ensure Josh’s creation is exactly as his vision. Josh’s creations are nostalgic of childhood indulgences like burgers and mac & cheeze, or cultural dishes paying homage to the authentic flavors of ethnic cuisines. Each creation is plant based, irresistible, and nourishing.
how much does culture matter?
Much of plant based cuisine is derived from the signature seasoning traditions passed down through culture and tradition. An innovative plant menu is rooted in tradition, and yet, it is a territory Soul Vegan Cuisine is reimagining as the world moves into a plant-centered food culture.
Based on research conducted on the Blue Zones, geographical areas/ communities with the highest concentrations of centenarians, there is overwhelming evidence to suggest that not only is good nutrition an integral pillar of health, but also the people with whom the experience is shared are just as much part of that nutrition as the food.
In these Blue Zones, it was observed that social networks were vital to the overall joy experienced by the individuals of these communities.
